I'm still learning

I'm still learning;

Still learning to love and be loved,

To set my soul free, see it soar like a dove;

Stiil learning to live,

And escape the common claustrophobic hive 

That society has confined us in for so long;

Still learning to trust

Before this soul of mine rusts and turns to dust,

eminating into nothingness.

Tryna establish my truth and find my feet,

Tryna pave my path and deviate from following the fleet. 

I'm still learning to stand on firmly on what I believe in, still learning to speak my mind and not mind what others think,

I'm still tryna stay afloat and not sink

From all the weight my prime of youth puts on my fragile shoulders 

All I ask for is patience and for your love to stay with me and nurture me into the woman I hope to become...
